Palace of Versailles

The Palace of Versailles. What can anyone say about the decadence that this Palace represents. First built as a hunting lodge for Louis VX it was turned into a architectural wonder. I remember walking through the Palace and thinking of the starving peasants that lived in poverty while the royal family lived like this. The gate to the palace was painted with gold.  No wonder they revolted.

The Hall of Mirrors.

One of the most beautiful dinning rooms I have ever seen.

One of the offices in the Royal Palace.

This is the drinking hole for the horses. In style.
