D Day June 4, 1944....70th Anniversary

Normandy, France is a quiet little coastal town with beautiful quaint villages and neighboring farms that raise cattle for a living. But on June 4, 1944 WWII was in full bloom. The allied nations of USA and England landed on the beaches of Normandy to fight the Germans. My visit there seemed so surreal, to see the graves of  10,000 American soldiers who fought so heroically to help free France from the German invasion. Walking through the cemetery and the monuments you can feel the spirits of these men knowing that they helped save the French people from Hitler.
